Christian baptism is a symbolic act by which an individual publicly confesses their faith in and commitment to follow Jesus Christ by identifying with His death, burial, and resurrection via water immersion.

"Christ died for our sins... He was buried...And He was raised on the third day." (cf. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

"For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with Him, you were raised to a new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead." (cf. Colossians 2:12)

Baptism ultimately represents an individual's NEW LIFE as a believer and follower of Jesus Christ.

"We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life." (cf. Romans 6:4)

Anyone who is a self-professing believer and follower of Jesus Christ.

"Those who accepted his (Peter's) message (regarding salvation) were baptized." (cf. Acts 2:41)

To follow the example set by Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself was baptized by John the Baptist as a way to identify with the sinners whom He would later die for on the cross at Calvary. In likewise manner, we who profess to be believers and followers of Christ should be baptized to publicly identify with our Savior in His death, burial, and resurrection.

"At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan." (cf. Mark 1:9).

Also, because Jesus commands it.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (cf. Matthew 28:19-20)

As soon as you receive salvation! There is no reason to delay, unless you are truly uncertain regarding your decision/commitment. Otherwise, you can, and should be baptized as soon as you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. You can be a genuine Christian without being baptized, meaning that baptism is not required to receive salvation (for we are saved by grace through faith and not of works [cf. Eph. 2:8-9]); however, you cannot be an obedient Christian without following the Lord's command to be baptized.

Because Jesus was baptized in this same manner. In Greek, the word "baptize" means "to immerse or dip underwater." Every baptism recorded in the Bible was performed via water immersion. Immersion best represents the death and burial (being immersed into the water) and resurrection (being raised from the water) of Jesus Christ.

"As soon as Jesus was baptized, He went up out of the water." (cf. Matthew 3:16)

Yes! Everyone who desires to be baptized must attend a brief, online 30-minute session where we share with you the significance of Christian baptism and provide understanding regarding your decision to be baptized.

No! Baptism is available to all who have confessed and received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The only requirement we have as a church is for participants to attend our mandatory 30-minute information session where we share with you the significance of Christian baptism and provide understanding regarding your decision to be baptized.
